Today, August 18th, is my due date and I am so glad that the girls are already here! We went to the doctor today and both the girls measured 20 inches in length. Avery weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and Jillian weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. Dr. C was very pleased with their growth and I was very pleased that I wasn't carrying 14 lbs 7 oz of baby around. I can't even imagine!

We finally had a chance to celebrate all the June/July birthdays in the family. We were supposed to celebrate them on July 9th, but the girls didn't think it would be appropriate to have a party without them and out they came!

It was a very busy weekend with visits from Papa and Nana and Great Aunt Debbie and Great Uncle Jerry. The girls are growing like crazy. They went to the doctor last Wednesday and each had gained exactly 1 pound from their birth weight, making Jillian 6 lbs 3 oz and Avery 5 lbs 15 oz. They say Avery is longer than Jillian...but I'm not so sure.

Sorry for the lack of posts, but it's much more difficult now that we have two babies to take care of!!! What a blessing! We were discharged from the hospital on Monday afternoon and after meeting with every -ologist and -tician the hospital has we feel confident that Jillian's shunt is working great and she is READY to be home!
The girls are growing and thriving, Dr. Cavazos is very pleased with their progress. We get a little sleep now and then, and I am so glad to have my mom to help. I learned very quickly that it takes two sets of hands for these rowdy girls. Speaking of...it's time for them to eat.
